How the LeafGuard Eavestrough Works
Making Science Work for Your Home
The LeafGuard system is designed to hold two primary functions; one is to keep water moving away from your home. The other is to ensure that your eavestrough stays clog-free. Both of these tasks are accomplished via a little scientific principle known as liquid adhesion. This basic principle keeps the water flowing into the eavestrough through the front-facing opening while allowing debris to fall harmlessly to the ground. Liquid adhesion uses the water’s surface tension to adhere it to the hood so it can flow gently around the curvature of the front facing entrance. What makes it work is the curved surface that does disrupt the natural flow of water, thus keeping intact so it does not disperse before the desired point.
Seamless Design; Uninterrupted Beauty
The seamless design of our one-piece eavestrough system is not only functional in that it keeps the surface tension from breaking, it also plays a large role in the style and longevity of your new eavestrough system. The lack of seams means you no longer have deal with the eyesore of unsightly welds and caulking. It also means that there is little to no maintenance required once it is installed since you don’t have to bother with re-welding or re-caulking any seams.
Greater Functionality & Durability
In addition to the seamless design and built-in curved hood, our eavestroughs also boast extra-large downspouts, ScratchGuard paint finish, and they are made using aluminum that is 20% thicker than that of standard gutters. This translates to an eavestrough system that can handle the heaviest of downpours, retain its beautiful finish, remain clog-free, and protect your home for years to come. Lastly, you won’t have to worry about our eavestrough system voiding the warranty on your roof like you would with other systems. This is because our system is mounted to your fascia using internal hangers spaced every .6 meters apart. The extra-strength hangers not only protect your roofline, they also provide extra support to your entire eavestrough system.
